Airtel Lanka successfully secures ISO standards

The first telecommunication company in Sri Lanka to be upgraded to
ISO22301 for business continuity Bharti Airtel, today announced that it
has successfully completed the audit for ISMS (Information Security
Management System) and BCMS (Business Continuity Management System) and
received the re-certification of ISO 27001 for ISMS and an upgrade from
BS 25999 to ISO 22301 for BCMS for its operations in Sri Lanka.
Previously, Airtel Lanka had secured BS 25999 for BCMS, issued by the
British Standard Institution, which has now been upgraded to ISO 22301
as per international standards. It is thus the first telecom operator in
Sri Lanka to be upgraded for its Business Continuity Management System.
Airtel Lanka achieved this accreditation after a rigorous assessment
process which symbolizes its commitment towards service excellence and
the strength of measures that the company has taken to ensure the
quality of services across its island wide network.

Sri Lanka to receive both certifications for all locations, which

shops located in Colombo 3, Kandy and Galle, the Data Centre and MSC,
and all the departments involved in these locations. We recognise the

Through ISO 27001 for Information Security, Airtel Lanka guarantees
security of corporate and customer information. It is implemented

Airtel Lanka's services based on the international best practices
provided along with the ‘Plan', 'Do’ 'Check', ‘Act’ concept.
