Power pirate fined

A suspect who pleaded guilty to the charge of tapping electricity by manipulating the electricity metre, was fined Rs186,570 by Matara Chief Magistrate Udesh Ranatunge. Officials of the Colombo Special Investigation Division of the Ceylon Electricity Board, said the suspect had been involved in the racket for a long period.
