Norway help for SL's fisheries industry

Norwegian ambassador Grete Lochen assured assistance to uplift Sri
Lanka's fisheries industry.
Lochen who paid a courtesy call on Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
Development Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne also discussed technical
cooperation between the two countries in the fisheries sector. This was
the first meeting between the ambassador and Minister Senaratne.
The Norwegian ambassador also assured cooperation to modernise the
fisheries industry with modern research vessel and equipment
manufactured by the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development
Agency.
Norwegian Embassy Counsellor Dagny Mjos and Senior Advisor
(Development) Loganathan Vijayanathan also participated in the
discussion held at the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development
Ministry.
