Protest pleading to repair Horana -Wagawatta road

Residents of Wagawatta, Horana including the Maha Sangha participated in protest at Wagawatta junction on Monday, requesting the authorities to repair the Horana -Wagawatta road which is dilapidated. The residents and the Maha Sangha blocked the main road of Wagawatta - Horana resulting in a traffic block.

The road is under the control of the Western Provincial Council and part of the road was repaired. This too had not been carried out properly, they said.

The Maha Sangha and the residents said they will continue their protest until a proper solution is found.
