Permanency for 107 employees of CFHC

One hundred and seven employees in the Ceylon Fisheries Harbour
Corporation (CFHC) on contract basis, were recruited to the permanent
cadre recently.
Addressing a ceremony at the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
Development Ministry, Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne invited the
employees to join hands with the government and support President
Mahinda Rajapaksa to lead the country towards the development and make
Sri Lanka the "Wonder of Asia".
One hundred and seven persons working in 20 fisheries harbours
received appointment letters from Minister Senaratne.
"All Sri Lankans have to play a specific role in the country's
development process and they should do their duties and responsibilities
well for the development of the country. As a country which is passing
the post war period, we have a responsibility for the bright future of
our next generation," he said.
"Government and private sector employees should work with dedication
and all should do their best for the motherland's future," the minister
said.
He said as a developing nation, Sri Lankans have a long way to go to
achieve their development goals.
CFHC chairman Upali Liyanage, Managing Director Lal Samarasinghe and
General Manager A A P Abesekara were also present.
