National Insurance Trust Fund joins hands with Lanka Hospitals

National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF), which provides insurance coverage for more than 650,000 government beneficiaries has taken a step forward in expanding their services by joining hands with Lanka Hospitals by issuing electronic card for Agrahara beneficiaries. The partnership was made as a result of an initiative formed in order to provide Agrahara beneficiaries easier access to medical facilities in private hospitals.

CEO, Lakith Peiris

As an extension of the existing partnership of three years between the two parties, Agrahara Fund has introduced an electronic card which contains all personal details of beneficiaries. With this latest implementation, Agarahara beneficiaries now have the opportunity of obtaining Lanka Hospitals services by producing the electronic card.

Commenting at the event, Chairman of Agrahara Fund D. Widanagamaachchi said, “On behalf of National Insurance Trust Fund it is an honour to partner with Lanka Hospitals as the first private hospital to have an Agrahara counter which accepts the Electronic Cards. We considered Lanka Hospitals for this partnership because of many important reasons, a few of them being, the Lanka Hospitals is the only government owned private hospital, it is a hospital that has won a Gold Award from the Sri Lanka National Quality Award for healthcare (Large Category) and also because it is the first hospital in the country to receive ISO 15189 accreditation for laboratory. In order to provide the maximum benefit for our beneficiaries, I believe Lanka Hospitals will extend them its fullest support in terms of offering the best possible healthcare at the most cost effective prices .”

CEO of Lanka Hospitals Mr. Lakith Peiris, commented, “I’m thankful to the Agrahara Fund for introducing this valuable service which will improve the partnership that we have built over 3 years. It is a great pleasure that Agrahara Fund has chosen us as their first private healthcare partner to introduce this service to the Agrahara Beneficiaries. As stated by Widanagamaachchi, I would like to emphasize that we will live up to the expectations of excellent services.”

“With this partnership, Agrahara beneficiaries can enjoy Lanka Hospital facilities with the lowest room rates with a 10% discount, 10% discount for inpatient laboratory investigations, 15% special discount for outpatient laboratory services and 5% discount for radiology investigations etc.” concluded Lakith Peiris.
