Kandy Night Races postponed

The third annual Kandy Night Races titled Kandy Speed at Night which was scheduled to be held next March 30 (Saturday) has been postponed according to the media spokesman Rohan Dammapala.

This decision to postpone the races to May was taken at a Committee Meeting of the organisers comprising members of the Southern Motor Sports Club (SMSC) and Kandy off Road Adventure Club (KORAC)

This year the race will be run anti-clockwise. Starting from opposite the Kandy Secretariat, the route will be Ismail Clock Tower Round about, Mosque Road, Boat house road, Kotugodella Veediya, Srimath Bennet Soysa Veediya, D S Senanayake Veediya, Hill Street, Meera Mackam Mosque and back to start/Finish and this will form a lap.
