'Suffering Death, and Resurrection of Christ' to be staged

The Moratumulla Methodist Church supported by other churches in the circuit along with a few Buddhists, plan on staging a play on March 30 at 7 pm at Iddibedda High School touching on the 'Suffering Death, and Resurrection of Christ.'

Moratumulla Methodist church has done similar plays but not on such a grand scale.

There will be a cast of 300 thespians. This is the first time something like this is taking place. There is a seating capacity of around 6000. Everything is free.

Tennyson Cooray and Sriyantha Mendis, Jagath Chamila will be acting on stage.

The Moratumulla Methodist church is of course attempting a show like this because of the variety of talent they have in their church who have some theatrical experience.
