UNHRC – PET POODLE OF THE WEST

The Human Rights Commission in Geneva is a tool to unreasonably
punish countries that do not tow the US line and act with a sense of
self respect. A British Professor of International Law said of the Human
Rights Commission (UNHRC), “the Commission lost its integrity and
direction over time with much of its membership decisions, power and
focus coming to be fuelled by disreputable goals, rather than motivated
by the aim of promoting, protecting and advancing human rights”.
This is a clear reflection of the integrity of its Head, the High
Commissioner. The UNHRC has a very pliable High Commissioner in
Navanethem Pillay, a Tamil, who acts in a completely partial manner,
thus bringing the whole Commission to disrepute, by catering to her
personal agenda.
In our Tamil LTTE problem, she was duty bound to hold the scales
even. Has she done so, or has she brazenly tilted the scales in favour
of the Tamil LTTE, and the Tamil LTTE Diaspora? In the US resolution
against Sri Lanka, she should have been the last person to be entrusted
with overseeing powers. She herself should have declined this role, as
she, right through SL’s conflict with the Tigers, expressed completely
partial views. The tragedy is that Pillay has secured a further two year
term by acclamation after Ban Ki Moon said he wants to keep Pillay in
this high profile office. This is perhaps the wish of the Western
powers.
Western countries
Have the Western countries who moved the previous resolution in March
2012 against SL transgressed International Law and the Laws of their own
countries by tendering “MATERIAL SUPPORT” to the LTTE and the LTTE
Diaspora, and whether these “holier than thou” people should be
themselves charged for WAR CRIMES, has to be examined. On May 27, 2012,
a NATO air strike killed eight members of the same family – Mohamed
Safeek, his wife and six children.
What kind of pilots do NATO have that they are unable to do pinpoint
precision bombing? SL pilots did pinpoint bombing on precise targets.
With all these Human Rights violations by NATO and Western Forces, what
do we have from Navi Pillay – not as much as a condemnation! Is this the
type of HR Commissioner the world body should have? Should not Pillay
voluntarily resign for complete partiality? She is unable to act against
the Western powers, as this may cost her job. Thereafter US drones kill
hundreds of innocents in Afghanistan. As regards all those atrocities by
the West Navi Pillay has been strangely mute, thereby not risking her
job.
LTTE Diaspora
Ban Ki Moon |
USA and their poodles (the Western countries), have been instigating
and supplying weapons to the rebels to unleash violence in Syria. They
encouraged rebels in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Iraq. Is this not
MATERIAL SUPPORT? Should not those in the Obama administration be
brought before a War Crimes Tribunal?
While all these countries were boiling, thanks to the West, what did
Pillay do? She has been the High Commissioner when all these atrocities
occurred. When innocents are being slaughtered, has she raised as much
as a whimper? Then why did she side the LTTE and a minuscule LTTE
Diaspora? Is it because she is from the same ethnicity and is under
obligation to them for more ways than one? Should this type of partial
Head, continue in office merely because she is viewed with favour by the
West, who are themselves under obligation to the LTTE Diaspora.
Has Pillay or the Western countries uttered a word of praise for our
Forces, who in the colossal Human Rights operation in 2009, SAVED the
lives of THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND INNOCENT TAMILS, by putting their own
lives in harms way? After 300,000 innocent Tamils were saved from the
marauding LTTE, they were fed, clothed, sheltered and medicated. Our
Forces saw to it that there was no outbreak of cholera and other deadly
diseases. Their diaspora did not spend a cent for their welfare! Is this
the HR Commissioner who is considered impartial? Has not the UNHRC been
established for the greater good of ALL countries, big or small?
HR violations

Hillary Clinton |
Thomas Fleming a reputed writer says, “Hillary Clinton never heard a
shot fired in anger, but they sleep quietly after ordering the death of
Iraqis, Serbs, Libyans, and Pakistanis, knowing that their God and the
New York Times are on their side.” It is hilarious that Clinton and the
US have the gumption to condemn HR violation in Sri Lanka, when they
themselves violate these with a vengeance!
What the Western countries cannot stomach is that Sri Lanka has
eradicated terrorism, while they have not even contained it.
Therefore out of spite, the present HR Council, ably assisted by the
Western countries are attempting to re-introduce terrorism in Sri Lanka,
by deviously calling it HR violations; whereas all what Sri Lanka did
was eradicate the world’s worst (admitted by the USA) terrorist
organization. Why are they blindly high-fiving the LTTE Diaspora? Isn’t
it crystal clear that what they are attempting is a regime change, in
order to achieve their objective – a separate state to control?
It is timely that we take the initiative to enlist the support of
most of the 193 member countries, to condemn the USA and other Western
countries for resorting to bullying tactics. Today it will be Sri Lanka,
tomorrow it will be another country. The Western powers should not be
permitted to use the UNHRC to achieve their agenda. When Navi Pillay and
Hillary Clinton’s poodle Robert Blake, kept rattling off that 40,000
Tamil refugees were killed during the last months of the war, did they
pause to think, or pose the question to the international community:-
* Can the SL Forces kill 40,000 Tamils and make their bodies
disappear into thin air?
* Where are the bodies?
* Where the graves?
* Where are the incinerators?
There was no denying even by the Western countries, that the SL
Forces had saved the lives of 300,000 refugees who were being kept as
human shields for the protection of the LTTE, from the advancing Forces.
They were kept like cattle, moved from place to place, without food and
water.
*Has she considered whether 300,000 of the self same refugees would
have run for protection to the side of the Army, if this Army had killed
40,000 of their own herd?
We do not say that Pillay is an intellectual mediocrity. Why did she,
such a vociferous person, not proclaim that this is something fabricated
by the LTTE diaspora? If she was impartial, she is duty bound to
convince this unintelligent international community. Casualties are
inevitable in any war. But to say there was mass scale killing of
civilians is an insult to one’s intelligence.
The UNHRC has been in existence for several decades and functioned
impartially headed by numerous High Commissioners. Never before has
there been criticism by several member states of loss of integrity. Sri
Lanka as one of the countries affected by its partiality, must take
remedial action without fear, not only in our national interest, but in
the interest of all small countries, that have been the target of brazen
partiality by its Head. Countries like Russia, China and Iran have
called off this bluff. Pillay would never dare to trifle with those
powers.
