The Health Ministry will end the
ambulance shortage at government hospitals during the next
two or three months. Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena
had asked President Mahinda Rajapaksa for financial
assistance to buy ambulances and the President has approved
funds for the ambulances. Ambulances distribution programme
commenced yesterday at the Ampara General Hospital with the
President handing over 24 ambulances to Eastern Province
Hospitals. Here the President handing over the documents to
Dr. Lankathilake Jayasinghe. Health Minister Maithripala
Sirisena also participated. |
