Media Minister visits Lake House stall

Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella visited the Lake House stall in
the Media Zone at the Deyata Kirula exhibition premises on Saturday
afternoon, participating in the opening ceremony of the exhibition. The
minister visited the Lake House stall and lauded measures taken to
educate visitors.
Lake House has participated in the Deyata Kirula exhibition since its
inception seven years ago. The Lake House stall provides knowledge and
information while showcasing the history of both Lake House and the
print media industry.
Visitors can get an overall picture about the process of a print
media institution.
Each visitor is given a copy of the historic first page of the first
Dinamina Newspaper printed on December 17, 1909.
In addition, a copy of the first page of the first Silumina
Newspaper, printed on March 30, 1930 is also issued free. The Lake House
stall also has entertainment and knowledge sharing programmes throughout
the day.
He said Sri Lanka's 66th Independence Day celebrations will be held
in Kegalle next year. |
