‘Police should educate people on law and order’

The prime duty of Traffic Policemen is to educate the public to maintain the high standards of law and order, said Senior DIG Gamini Navaratne addressing a ceremony held to distribute certificates to 78 Police personnel who completed a training course conducted by the Police Traffic Headquarters.

Navaratne appealed to the Traffic Policemen to educate the motorists to avoid major accidents on highways and brief them on traffic laws.

Traffic DIG Amarasen Senaratne and SP RAD Ranasinghe also participated.
