Demolition of buildings for road widening |
Eheliyagoda is being beautified under a development plan adopted by
the Eheliyagoda Pradeshiya Sabha through discussions held for about five
years with trade unions, government institutions, political leaders and
the public.
According to PS Chairman Sarath Sandanaike, the first stage of the
project will be the widening of the road from old Kelatuvelley railway
line to 35 feet.
The Avissawella- Ratnapura main road that runs through Eheliyagoda
will be widened to 70- feet under the government’s development plan.
Accordingly, buildings are being demolished to make way for the road
widening projects. |
