The Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) purchased 80,000 kgs of paddy from
Northern farmers during the four days since the government launched the
paddy purchasing exercise in the North.
Six paddy purchasing centres have been set up in Mullaitivu,
Kilinochchi, Mannar and Vavuniya districts under this programme, said
PMB regional manager Bandula Kumara said.
