LIS, Wattala overall champs at the IISSC

Lyceum International School(LIS), Wattala won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Overall Champions for the sixth consecutive year recently at the Inter-International Schools' Scrabble Championships ( IISSC) 2013.

LIS,Nugegoda won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Runners-up. Stafford International School, Leighton Park International School and Burhani Serendib School secured the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions, respectively. President of the Sri Lanka Scrabble League (SLSL), Wimal Fernando was the Chief Guest and Treasurer of the SLSL,Kandhan Mahendran was the Adjudicator.

Lyceum Wattala 'A' Team comprising of Tehani Rassool, Randika Perera, Adshayan Balachandran, Amaani Cassim and Abirami Dhayalan became champions in the Junior category.

In the Intermediate category Lyceum Wattala 'A' team comprising of Migara Jayasinghe, Hayati Rassool, Nusrath Sariffo'deen, Thavalakshman Yoganathan and Lochana Rangalle triumphed the championship in the respective category.
