Sri Lanka Nordic Business Council meets Ambassador of Norway

Ambassador of Norway with Embassy officials and Executive
Committee of the SL–Nordic Business Counci

The Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Nordic Business Council of
the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, paid a courtesy call to Grete Løchen,
the Norwegian Ambassador on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Royal
Norwegian Embassy in Colombo 07.
Welcoming the committee members, she stressed on the vital role of
the embassy being the only diplomatic office representing the Nordic
region in Sri Lanka.
Majid Awn, President of SLNBC, introduced the council to her and
requested her fullest support towards the activities of the Embassy and
most importantly, in building linkages between the SLNBC and counterpart
organizations in the Nordic region.
The group discussed in depth, about ways to promote trade and
investment between Sri Lanka and Nordic Region. The Ambassador also
promised her fullest support towards increasing trade, cultural and
political relationship between Sri Lanka and Norway.
Jon Otto Brodhold, Minister Counseller of the Royal Norwegian
Embassy, also attended the meeting. |
