Australian High Commissioner Robyn Mudie said: "Australia and Sri
Lanka have shared an extensive bilateral relationship over many decades.
Our close ties are based on a history of partnership in areas such as
education, trade and investment and development cooperation, and further
strengthened through people to people links and migration.
"Education builds strong and lasting links between our countries. The
Australian government is committed to the continued expansion of this
valuable element of our relationship".
Austrade Trade Commissioner Dr Grayson Perry said Austrade was proud
to partner with Australian institutions to give prospective Sri Lankan
students and their families an opportunity to look closely at education
possibilities and options in Australia.
He said this initiative aims to grow the educational partnership
between Australia and Sri Lanka, as well as help support skills
development for the Sri Lankan economy and society.
