The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, launched a book
titled 'Ayojanayata Mulapuramu' in the Sinhala language to support new
entrants to the capital market.

The book which was written by SEC's Assistant Director, External
Relations and Market Development, Tushara Jayaratne, said that the
publication included practical and theoretical aspects of investing in
the capital market and this would provide prospective investors a proper
understanding of the various aspects of investing in the capital market.
The book launch was held on February 13, 2013 at the SEC auditorium
under the patronage of Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Senior Minister of
International Monetary Cooperation and Deputy Minister of Finance.
The publication explains factors to be considered before investing in
the stock market, step by step processes of investing in stocks and unit
trusts, common mistakes made by investors when investing in the capital
market and how to select stocks. |
