An innings win for Joes

St. Joseph's College, Colombo beat Moratu Vidyalaya by innings an 57 runs in their inter-school under 19 cricket match played at Moratuwa.

In reply to Joes' total of 220 for 6 declared Vidyalaians were bundled out for a paltry 63 runs and following on homesters were bowled out for 100 runs.

Yashan Samarasinghe had a patient unbeaten knock of 101 runs for Joes which included ten hits to the rope and two over and occupying the crease for 185 minutes and facing 180 balls and in the Vidyalaians second essay Sachin Hewavasam had a fine bowling spell of 6 for 18 runs.
