Dengue 'fight' in Kamburugamuwa

Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) personnel attached to the SLCG Rohana in
Mirissa took part in a Dengue prevention campaign in Kamburugamuwa
recently.
The Dengue prevention programme was organised by the Co-operative
Society, Kamburugamuwa in line with the National Dengue Prevention Week
launched by the Health Ministry from February 6 to 13.
They conducted this programme in five Grama Sewa Divisions of
Kamburugamuwa with the assistance of Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha, Weligama
Divisional Secretariat and students of the Kamburugamuwa Maha Vidyalaya.
The programme included cleaning and identifying mosquito breeding
grounds.
They also conducted public awareness programmes while participating
in activities to clear dengue breeding grounds in Kamburugamuwa.
