First children’s web radio launched
The first ever web radio in Sri Lanka for children was launched on
December 29, 2012 in Colombo. The chief guest was Mihira chief editor
Ajith Dharmasiri. Mihira is a newspaper dedicated to children published
by Lake House.

CUP officials Lal Saranapala, Harsha Gomes, Nadee Dissanayake, M M
Maznavi, Rasika Udugama, Dilhara Karunanayake, Beverly Saranapala and
Manjuma Salgadu were present.
CUP officials said this programme will be entertaining and
educational. They will also make arrangements to conduct various
competitions for the children to show their talents. Children can enroll
as members by clicking the application that appears on the website
