Ves Dance performance of Sri Dharmaloka MMV

As proposed by the Principal of Sri Dharmaloka Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Kelaniya, A P Nimal Jayaweera, 18 students of the school performed Ves Dancing with the traditional head dress on for the third time, creating history recently.

This was made possible under the able direction of their dancing teacher, Yasanthi Deepika Kumari at the Peliyagoda Vidyalankara Pirivena amidst a large gathering led by the senior lecturer, Chief Head of the Kandyan Dancing Unit of the University of Fine Arts, Sumathipala Shilpadhipathi along with fellow lecturers and Art lovers participating.

The main address was delivered by the Chief Incumbent and the Director of the Vidyalankara Pirivena and Vice Chancellor of the Kelaniya University Sri Kusaladhamma Nayaka thera.

Students and teachers from invited schools, parents of the students who performed along with well-wishers participated at the occasion.
