A new Rider Bike Shop was opened by leading bicycle manufacturer,
Amal Suriyage atThalahena Malabe last week.
A veteran cyclist Ex Air Vice Marshall and Dr Nimal Gunarathana was
the first to purchase the up market Italian Bianche bike for Rs 100,000.
Peter Bluck (CEO Adventure Lanka), was the Chief Guest while actress,
Nilanthi Munasinghe) and Dharshana Munasinghe (Director Access
Engineering) were also present.
Amal Suriyage said that with the government’s new town planning and
beautification system in the country the attitude of people about
bicycles is changing.
“It is not the poor man’s vehicle any more and is being used for
leisure as well.” |
