NDB appoints Union Chemists as a Sub agent

The National Development Bank PLC (NDB), recently tied up with Union Chemists (Pte) Limited, enabling the company to provide Western Union money transfer service to beneficiaries through their branches island-wide. The service which will be soon implemented, would enable customers to have access to instant cash remitted from overseas until as late as 11pm daily at Union Chemists' stores.

NDB is a primary agent for Western Union money transfer service in Sri Lanka and has previously appointed Regional Development Bank, Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC and Vision Care Optical Services (Pvt) Ltd, as sub agents in a bid to make the service more accessible for its customers. The latest agreement with Union Chemists will enable the Bank to further strengthen the reach of this service and generate more opportunities for growth of the popular money transfer facility.
