Sports goods donated to youth clubs in Northern Province

To improve the sports skills of the youth in the North the sports
equipment worth to Rs 35 million was distributed among 200 youth clubs
in the North. The ceremony was held at the National Youth Services
Council district office at Kilinochchi.

The chief guest of the occasion was the M. P. for Hambantota District
Namal Rajapaksa.
The funds were provided by the U. S. Aid Programme in collaboration
with the National Youth Services Council.
The governor of the Northern Province Major General G. A. Chandrasiri,
the country project Manager of the U. S. Aid Programme Mrs Dawn Hayden,
The Chairman and Director General of the NYSC Attorney-at-Law- Lalith
Piyum Perera also graced the occasion. |
