Richmondites dominate over Cambrians

Richmond College, Galle carried away major honours and gained a first
innings win over Prince of Wales College in their inter-school under 19
cricket match played for the A P M Peiris Trophy and worked off at
Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa.
Batting first, Richmondites declared at 300 for 7 with half centuries
coming off the bats of Charith Akalanka 69, Hasitha Madushan 59, A K V
Tyronne 65 and Wanidu Hasaranga too contributed with 47 runs.
In reply Cambrians were all out 23/7 with Shanuka Dulaj 61 and
valuable contributions from Crishen Aponso and Janeesha Fernando 46 and
42 runs respectively. At stumps visitors were 190 for 9 with Prabath
Nishantha scoring 46 and Chamod Pumal 43. Jayanga Peiris was the pick of
the bowlers for the homesters with 5 for 73.
