SriLankan takes children on scenic tour
SriLankan Cares takes special interest in projects that help empower
children through education, good health and a clean environment. In
keeping with Sri Lankan Cares mission, SriLankan Airlines organized a
scenic flight, from Katunayayaka International Airport to Hambantota
International Airport for a group of children recently.
100 children who participated at the Senehasa Leadership Camp
organized by Friends Organization in December 2012 and another 25
children who were winners of the Civil Aviation Art Competition
organized by Ministry of Civil Aviation to mark 100 years of Aviation in
Sri Lanka got the opportunity.
This tour not only gave the children their first air travel
experience but also offered an interesting insight of overall operations
of air travel.

Webada, Kirillawala, Peter Weerasekara Children Home, Dambuwa,
Buthpitiya, SOS Children Village, Piliyandala, Senarath Gunawardana
Children Home, Kalubowila, Dehiwala, Don Bosco Boys Home, Maggona,
Kalutara, Children Home, Manipay, Noguchi Boy’s Home, Pepiliyana,
Borelasgamuwa, Sucharithodaya Boy’s Home, Pamunuwa, Maharagama and
children who were winners of the Civil Aviation Art Competition joined
the tour.
