Municipal Councillor arrested for assaulting cop

A member of the Anuradhapura Municipal Council who tried to escape after assaulting a Police officer of Mihintale Police on traffic duty at the Senasuma junction on Anuradhapura Airport around 7.30 pm on January 22 was later apprehended by fellow Police officers.
