Veteran journalist K A Herath passes away

Veteran Journalist Kandanegedera Abesinghe Herath, expired on January 22 at the Kuliyapitiya General Hospital. He was 76 years old at the time of his death and was serving as the Kuliyapitiya and Pannala Provincial reporter of Lake House. He had served as a reporter to Wijaya Newspapers as well as to Upali Newspapers. He gained much tribute as a veteran journalist by the Northwest Journalist' Association as well as by the Pannala Provincial Council.

He leaves behind his wife J E Sheela Jayalath and three daughters.

The cremation will take place today (24) at 3 pm at the Nattandiya crematorium.
