Galle Mayor dismissed
Galle Mayor Methsiri De Silva has been
dismissed from both the mayoral post and the council membership with
immediate effect as he has been proved guilty of charges of
maladministration and misappropriation of Council's funds during his
previous tenure from 2009 to 2011 as the Galle Mayor.
