District National Stadium at the cost of Rupees 250 million at the
Puttalam Public playground and the foundation stone was laid on October

North Western Province Asoka Wadigamangawa.
The advent of a National level District stadium was considered by the
people of Puttalam as an extensive for the time immemorial. A swimming
pool, a pavilion, 400 metre athletic track, Football ground and a indoor
stadium are the components of this proposed District National Level
Stadium.

The old pavilion has been pulled down, excavated earth heaps remain
everywhere on the ground making it difficult for the young people to use
