Awards ceremony

The Mohan Lal Grero Foundation (MLGF) Free Bhikkhu English Training Institute will conduct its annual awards ceremony on January 12 from 9am at the Lyceum International School, Nugegoda.

Most Ven Agga Maha Panditha Dauldena Gnanissara Thera will be the Chief Guest.

MLGF founder and Education Ministry Monitoring MP Mohan Lal Grero will be the Guest of Honour.

Praise, prayer service

A service of praise, prayer and adoration, open to all, will be held tomorrow at 10.30am at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.

The speaker and the minister at the service will be Vijaya Corea, who will speak on 'What does 2013 hold? The answer is not in prediction but in Biblical prophesy.'

Books for children

Schoolchildren of low income families will receive school books and instruments at a ceremony at Marakkalawatta Public Hall, Beruwela on January 14 at 9am.

The donation is made by the M M M Amjad Foundation.
