Woman PC hacked to death

A woman police constable was hacked to death on the Lotus Road Fly
Over bridge in Pettah, early yesterday morning . She was found with
fatal cut wounds to her neck.
The suspect was a police constable and and it was revealed the crime
was committed over a love affair. The suspect who consumed poison
immediately after committing the crime is being treated at the Intensive
Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital. The victim H. M. N.
Madubashini Samarasinghe (26) was attached to the Sports Division of the
Police Headquarters.
She was a resident of Nanna Purawa, Bibile.
Police Spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said the suspect was a
resident of Walapane and a Police Constable attached to the Monaragala
Police. Fort Police are investigating. |
