Lanka, Afghan economic ties strengthened

The Sri Lanka and Afghanistan government signed two agreements for
strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the
fields of education, science, technology and culture.
Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul said his government will be
taking steps to strengthen the ties between the two countries in these
areas, including cultural exchanges and tourism.
Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa said this at a meeting
with Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul.
Sri Lanka will also provide Afghanistan with know-how, technology,
equipment and other assistance in de mining operations and other areas. |
