‘Country needs to harness potential of peace’

It is the time to create value in place of work with commitment,
discipline professionalism and leadership skills to transform the
economy towards a brighter future, said Chief Executive Officer, Brandix
Lanka Ltd Ashroff Omar chief guest at the Chartered Accountants of Sri
Lanka Business School Convocation 2012 addressing the MBA recipients at
Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel Colombo on Friday.

He said the country now needs to harness the potential of peace and
it is critical to retain world class management talent and the
management degree received by them is a qualification they received in
the right place at the right time. Regardless the stage in the career,
the MBA is an educational pathway of continuous learning and personal
development that will help to get a deeper understanding of the rapidly
changing global economic environment and navigate the unknown with a new
set of tools.
Sharing his longstanding experience with the industry he said, “team
work is essential towards achieving the goal as one cannot deal alone as
business grow. It is necessary to influence many people in business
which goes a long way in success. “Fair play, perseverance and
transparency are other tools that should be used in business success.
President CA Sri Lanka Sujeewa Rajapakse said that the CA Business
School has systematically carved a comfortable niche in the business
school market introducing world class programmes. Eighty eight graduates
received the MBA from Southern Queensland University at the event. Guest
of Honour and Executive Director, University of Southern Queensland
