Kingswood ‘A’ in back to back basketball victories

Kingswood College ‘A’ team turned in a fine performance to defeat St Anthony's College in their Kandy District school boys under 19 inter school basketball championship match organised by the Kandy District Basketball Association and played at St Anthony's Girls College Courts, Kandy on Wednesday.

At half time Kingswoodians led 6-0.

It was in the second half the Kingswood College ‘A’ made a good impact by adding 8 more points to their first half tally of 6-0.

Kingswood College ‘A’ team registered their second win of the day when they beat another strong side Azar Central College, Akurana 15-12 after leading 7-5 at the end of the second quarter.

In another match played at the same venue Azar Central College ‘A’ beat Colombo International School ‘B’ 14-5.

Colombo International School ‘A’ one of the top contenders for championship honours got the better of Kingswood College ‘B’ 22-9.
