Water cut

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that a 12-hour water cut will be imposed on November 17 from 8 pm in the areas surrounding George R de Silva Mawatha, Maha Vidyala Mawatha junction to Cyril C Perera Mawatha in Colombo 13 and connected roads.

The water cut will be imposed due to pipe laying of the Kalu Ganga project.

Muharram celebrations

The recital of Hussain Mowlood, organised by the Moors Islamic Cultural Home under the auspices of the Dakwa and Religious Committee will be held today at 4pm at Pasha Villa, 115, Dematagoda Road, Colombo 9.

The mowlood recital will be followed by a talk on the Significance of Muharram and Ashoora by Moulavi S A Z Mahdhoom.

Coordinating Committee Meeting

The Anuradhapura District Coordinating Committee Meeting will be held today at the North Central Provincial Council Auditorium.

Discussion

A discussion between Civil Defence Force members of Ampara and Bandaragama will be held on November 18 at 8.00 am at the Ampara Police Station.
