Two persons who were arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and kept on remand were acquitted by Jaffna High Court Judge J. Visvanathan. Ratnam Ravisankar of Vemankamam Tellipallai and Balasubramaniam Ravikumar of Pallal were charged with five counts under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in the Jaffna High Court.
