The annual Katina Pinkama at the Sri
Sambodhi Viharaya, Colombo, was held on Monday under the
patronage of Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayantha Colombage
and under the direction of Chief Incumbent Most Ven.
Daranagama Kusala Dhamma Nayake Thera. The Katina Cheevara,
the robes offered on conclusion of rain retreat, was taken
to the temple in a procession organized by the Navy.
Mahanayaka of the Asgiriya Chapter Most Venerable Udugama
Sri Buddharakkhitha Thera presided over the ceremony. |

The Irrigation and Water Management
Ministry will establish a new technical system to collect
details of water levels at reservoirs. The Ministry signed
an agreement in this connection with the German OTT Hydro
met Gmbh Company in Colombo recently to establish 121
observation centres countrywide. Here, Irrigation and Water
