Businessman dies after being attacked

A businessman in Galle succumbed to his cut injuries on admission to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital after being hacked by four persons who reportedly came in a van, at Dickson Road yesterday evening.

The businessman, a father of two, identified as Kumara Senevirathne, 49, of Dangedara, Galle had been riding on his motorcycle when the incident occurred. The slain businessman's brother, Dushantha Senevirathne, who was the then Opposition Leader of the Galle Municipal Council was killed in the same manner at Beligaha Junction, Galle few years back.

Galle Police are investigating.
