Sinhaputhra Finance donates ECG machine to Police hospital

Sinhaputhra Finance PLC, Kandy in keeping with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donated an Electro Cardio Graph (ECG) Machine to the Police Hospital.

Saliya de Alwis, Director (Operations) at Sihaputhra handed over the Machine to Gamini Navaratne (Senior DIG Administration and Elections) at a ceremony. Nimal Mediwake a former DIG of the Kandy Police and officials were present at the occasion.

Nandana Abeykoon (Director - Finance) and Premalal Ekanayake a Director of Sinhaputhra also graced the occasion. Donating the ECG machine to the Police Hospital which was the brainchild of Ravana Wijeyeratne the Managing Director of Sinhaputhra.

Gamini Navaratne said that nearly 40 Police Officers/Retired Police and their immediate families seek treatment at the Kandy and Peradeniya Teaching Hospitals, if facilities at the Police Hospital improves such patients can be diverted there.

He further stated that he is seeking the assistance of other Corporates and Private Entrepreneurs in Kandy to come forward in assisting him to develop the Police Hospital without touching state funds. So far the response that he got is tremendous and very encouraging. His ambition is to raise the Police Hospital at Kandy to that of a Model Hospital.
