St. Sylvester's College, Kandy did will to district St. Anthony's
College to 145 for 8 before rain stopped play in their inter-school
cricketmatch at Katugastota yesterday. It match will be continued today
at 9.30 am.
The Anthonian winning the toss and taking first strict was in dire
straits losing wickets at regular intervals. It was only a dour knock of
26 not out by Charles Praveen which helped them to get past the three
figure mark and also averted the danger of being dismissed before the
rains fell. It is raining at Katugastota and it is unlikely that the
match could be started on time this morning.
