Coca-Cola Beverages new Country Manager

Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Limited (CCBSL) announced the appointment of Kapila Welmillage as the Country Manager for Sri Lanka, with effective from October 1.

Prior to his appointment as Country Manager, Kapila was leading the Supply Chain function.

In his role as Country Supply Chain Manager, his achievements included making the Sri Lankan operations, the pioneer in the successful introduction of TPM (Total Productive Management) within the SABCO group.

In his tenure at CCBSL, he has also worked as the Country Human Resources Manager from 2010-2011. During this period the Sri Lanka operations managed to win the 2010 Everest Challenge (Best CSR Project within the SABCO Group) and was the most Improved Country within the SABCO Group in terms of Employee Engagement Scores (2010 vs. 2009). Prior to heading the HR function, Kapila worked as the Country Sales Manager, where he steadily improved the distribution and availability of Coca-Cola products.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola Sri Lanka in 2003, Kapila worked at Unilever, as Finance Manager, Operations Manager and Plant Manager.

He holds a BSc Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, MBA from the University of Colombo and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.
