Kegalu Vidyalaya had no difficulty in securing their second outright win for the season when they crushed Sri Rahula College, Katugastota by seven wickets in their inter-school cricket match concluded at the Kegalle Esplanade yesterday.

Kegalu Vidyalaya were set a victory target of 151 in 50 overs and they won with 12 overs to spare.

Sri Rahula College : 60 all out in 23 overs (Chathuranga Bandara 23, Tharaka Ranaweera 15, Hashan Tillakaratne 3 for 18, Bimshendra Ranaweera 4 for 8) and 193 all out in 63.4 overs (Ishan Hewage 85, Supun Asela 40, Sameera Lakshan 20, Tharaka Ranaweera 11, Nipuna Tilina 10, Samadhi Dassanayake 4 for 55, Tharaka Somatillake 4 for 54).

Kegalu Vidyalaya : 103 for 6 decl. in 20.2 overs (Bimshendra Ranaweera 47, Rajitha Ranatunga 3 for 17) and 151 for 3 in 37.5 overs (Bimshendra Ranaweera 36, Tharaka Somatillake 26, Krishan Narammala 37 not out, Tharindu Somaratne 24 not out, M. Wanasinghe 13 not out).
