Kotte Sri Dalada Maha Perahera

The historic Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Sri Dalada Maha Perahera and pageant of the Kotte Raja Maha Viharaya which began on August 27 will conclude with the water cutting ceremony and the deva dana on September 9.

The programme includes a Kumbal perahera tomorrow, mal perahera on September 2, 3 and 4, pavada perahera on September 5, veedi perahera on September 6, randoli perahera on September 7 and the Sri Dalada Perahera on September 8.

An exposition of the Sacred Buddha Relics will be held at the temple's Dhatu Mandiraya to enable devotees to pay homage, Viharadhipathi Ven Aluthnuwara Anuruddha Nayake Thera said.
