Ananda in easy win
Ananda College, Colombo recorded a nine-wicket win over St.
Sebastian’s College Moratuwa in their under-15 Division II cricket match
played at Ananda Mawatha on Tuesday.
After winning the toss, visiting skipper Dulaj Salinka decided to bat
first. But the Sebastianites failed to live upto expectations and were
restricted to just 108 runs for 9 in 49 overs. That was mainly due to
some great bowling performances by Dinul Rabel who took 3 for 18 and
Umayanga Dehigama (2 for 16) and Abishek Weerasinghe (2 for 10).
Anandians reached the target in the 30th over with Bhashitha Elleperuma
scoring an unbeaten half ton while Dinul Rabel remained 21 not out.
