KPMG's Global Head of Islamic Finance to address Industry Leaders in
Financial Services
KPMG's Global Head of Islamic Finance, Neil D. Miller will be
visiting Sri Lanka in early September to address financial services
industry leaders at the first Islamic Finance News (IFN) Roadshow in
Colombo and also at a CEOs round table discussion event organized by
KPMG in Sri Lanka.
While in Sri Lanka, Miller will address some of the new and evolving
topical Islamic Finance instruments such as the Shariah compliant
Treasury Bills, Corporate Sukuks, Shariah compliant Payment Cards and
Overdraft Instruments which are being used in a number of developed
markets across the world.
Miller, an international expert in the field of Islamic Finance was a
member of the UK treasury committee of Islamic finance experts, a member
of the FSA committee on Islamic finance and worked closely with the
Muslim Council of Britain and other bodies to promote and develop
Islamic finance in several countries across the world.
Prior to joining KPMG, Miller was a Partner of a leading professional
services firm for 14 years where he established and led the firm's
Islamic Finance Group for a period of over 10 years. Miller continues to
accumulate knowledge on a range of Islamic financial services
instruments.
He leverages his knowledge of Shariah compliant capital markets,
Sukuks and structured products when working with state authorities,
regulators, corporate institutions and in responding to industry
opportunities and challenges. Further, Miller has worked in the United
Kingdom, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which are some of the key
hubs for Islamic Financial Services.
