Air Scouts of Colombo District engaged in a car wash as a
fundraiser at the launching of Scout service and Relationship
week held recently at Colombo District Headquarters

Scout Services and relationship week commenced with opening ceremony
held in front of scouts headquarters in Colombo near Regal Cinema
recently.
The chief guest was M A Navaz Caffor. Past President Prof Nimal de
Silva, Leslie Rupasinghe, past Chairman Nanda Corea, Deputy Chief
Commissioner Shiraz Salih, Asst. Chief Commissioner Kapila Perera
Headquarters Commissioner Kapila Kumara and District Commissioner
Colombo Riza Azoor also participated at the event.
The event began with the participation of Scouts from all 37
Districts simulataneously numbering approximately 40,000 between the
ages of seven and 18.
This event was organized by Assist Chief Commissioner, Fund Raising,
Rohan A D Fernando.
Sarath Wimalasiri on Shraddhanjalee
The Sinhala National Service of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation will present a well known lyric composer poet and a
freelance journalist, W K Sarath Wimalasiri (Bank of Ceylon - Head
Office) through Shraddhanjalee Programme from 12 pm to 12.45 pm on
August 31 ( Adhi Binara Full Moon Poya day).
He will make an analytical presentation of the songs composed based
on various themes that come in Buddhist Literature.
He will also present his views on lyrics, singing and music on topics
under discussion.

Exhibition, sale, gift packing and jewellery demonstration
An exhibition, sale, gift packing and jewellery demonstration will be
held on Saturday (September 1) at Global Towers, Wellawatte from 9.30 am
onwards.
The sale includes D.X.N. food suppliments from Malaysia, Readymade
