Suspects held with illegally felled timber

The STF on Sunday seized over Rs 300,000 worth illegally felled stocks of ebony, teak and Palu in Buttala, Settikulama and Kilinochchi and arrested five suspects.

A stock of 48 planks of illegally felled ebony was found in Hembessa.

Police also arrested three suspects while transporting illegally felled teak and Palu logs at Varikuttur Unit 4 tank in Settikulam.
