‘Sri Lanka on fast track to development’

Sri Lanka is on a fast track to development with the end of the war
under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He has implemented
several development projects throughout the country with the end of the
war. The country is experiencing the benefits of development projects
and the people from all parts of the country have a great responsibility
to support the government's development process, Productivity Promotion
Minister Lakshman Seneviratne said.

Minister Senewiratne was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the
productivity promotion workshops held at the Bandarawela Divisional
Secretariat and Ella Divisional Secretariat,recently.
“The President has given me the responsibility to develop the
country's human resource and we have already done a huge service to the
public through the Productivity Promotion Ministry. We have given a
three day residential training for ten persons of each Grama Seva
Division. They are playing a vital role for the development of their
areas,” the minister said.
He said, “all the countries have several problems. But Sri Lanka has
not much serious matters as other foreign countries.
“Sri Lanka has certain problems but people living happily. It is the
most important thing and it should be appreciated. The human resource in
the country should be developed with the country's physical resources
and all these efforts are to develop the country,” the minister said.
The Productivity Promotion Ministry had organized these workshops
along with the National Productivity Secretariat with the aim of
developing the standards of the public service in the Uva Province.
President Rajapaksa has a dream to make Sri Lanka the “Wonder of
Asia” and all parts of the country have a certain role to play to make
this dream a reality.
All should play their role correctly without considering any personal
advantage to them and it will give the best results to the country, the
minister further stated.
